Basement Flooring, Walls and Ceilings in Mississauga

Bare concrete feels cold and can wick moisture. We level the slab and install a subfloor system, either a dimpled membrane or raised panels, under your flooring. We then lay:

• Luxury vinyl plank
• Laminate
• Porcelain and ceramic tile
• Engineered hardwood
• Epoxy and polished concrete
• Radiant in-floor heating under tile or vinyl

Cold walls cause drafts and condensation. We frame walls with a gap from the foundation, then insulate with spray foam, rigid foam or batt insulation, and seal a vapour barrier to control moisture. Insulated walls also cut heat loss during Mississauga winters.

We hang moisture-resistant drywall, tape and mud the joints, sand smooth and paint. We add trim, baseboards and casings for a finished look.

Low ceilings need careful planning. We choose between drywall ceilings and drop ceilings, build bulkheads around ducts and pipes, and add access panels where you need them. We also install pot lights to brighten rooms with few windows.

Noise from the floor above travels through a bare basement ceiling. We add mineral wool, resilient channel and double drywall, and we seal gaps around lights and ducts. This is especially useful for theatres, bedrooms and rental suites.
